The Heard County High School football team followed up a season-opening rivalry win with a 47-12 runaway romp Friday night in the home opener against Chattooga.

The Braves (2-0) went into halftime with a 21-6 advantage and their high-octane offense continued a strong performance to finish out the game. It was the second time in two games this season Heard County has scored at least 43 points, as it beat Callaway to open the season on Aug. 25 in LaGrange.

Following an off week, Heard County will begin Region 5-AA play when it plays hosts to No. 8 Bremen (1-1) on Sept. 21.
