The Haralson County High School football team suffered a 40-7 Region 4-AAA road setback at first-place Callaway on Friday night, dropping the Rebels to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in region play.

The Cavaliers (6-1, 4-0 Region 4-AAA) have now won six straight since a season-opening loss to Heard County and have put themselves in the driver’s seat for the region title following Central’s road loss at Rockmart on Friday.

Eddie Culpepper had two touchdown runs and returned an interception for a score, while Tez Parks, Wilson Lindsey and Devon Rosser added touchdown runs for the Cavaliers.

The Rebels didn’t score until the game’s final minute. HC returns home next week to play host to Chapel Hill.
