Georgia Ruth Denney Little, age 93,of Little Road, Carrollton, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was born February 28, 1920, in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Virgil E. Denney and Mary Lou Key Denney.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. Her hobbies and interest in life included her garden, canning, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was also known to be a wonderful cook.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Leonard Little; sons, Paul Dennis Little and Robert Ray “Robbie” Little; and brothers, Frank Denney, Herman Denney, and Robert Denney.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joan Marie Little Faulkner and her husband, Johnny of Carrollton; son Eldred L. Little and his wife, Linda M. of Carrollton; daughters-in-law, Linda W. Little of Powder Springs, Georgia and Carolyn Little of Carrollton; special friend, Frances Walker of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. Stephen Peeples and Rev. Steve Swafford officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Evan Buford, Scott Buford, Jon Little, Charles Denney, Lloyd Hester, Bobby Holcombe, Samuel Eidson and Dusty Gilland. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
