The Villa Rica High School football team picked up its second straight win and third win in four weeks with Friday night's 21-7 victory against Lithia Springs.

The Wildcats (3-3, 3-3 Region 5-AAAAA) had a short field to start with as the Lions (0-6, 0-6) tried an onside kick to open the game. Needing just 40 yards to score VR did so on the back of Jaylen Cox and Kevin Martin with Martin finding the end zone for the 7-0 lead early in the game.

Late in the first half Cox made it 14-0 with a three-yard run after Drew Lewis recovered a fumble.

Martin capped off the scoring for the Wildcats just four seconds into the fourth quarter.

The Lions added a late touchdown on a 37-yard run from Avante Bourch making it 21-7.

Defensively Clayton Moore had an interception in the game for VR.

The Wildcats will put their streak to the test next week as they travel to face No. 8 Allatoona.

His name is Avonte Boyd # 20 Lithia Springs, not Avante Bourch!
