Mrs. Gulledge was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late George and Burma Rainey Hollis.
She worked in retail sales for Bill’s Dollar Store for a number of years. Mrs. Gulledge was Baptist by faith. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Butler and Tunya Johnson, both of Villa Rica; one brother, William J. Hollis of Marietta; one sister, Maggie Hulsey of Dallas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Ray Gulledge on July 8, 1973.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. from J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Eddie Allen officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Melrose Hills Memorial Park with Chuck Butler, Eric Butler, Jake Morris, Brandon Echols, Stewart Crook, and Craig Cook serving as pallbearers. Larry Morris, Jake Morris Jr. and Seth Huckaby will serve as honorary pallbearers.
