Mr. Lindsey was born March 30, 1947, in Grayson, La., the son of the late Louie Lindsey and Tressie Crain Lindsey. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army, earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a developer and owner/president of Southern Design Homes for a number of years. Mr. Lindsey was Baptist by faith and attended Douglasville Baptist Temple.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Pat L. Lindsey; son, Don Lindsey of Villa Rica; two grandsons; sisters, Faye Goodwin of Newellton, La., Sue Lindsey of Windsboro, La., Kay Lindsey, and Renee King, both of Urania, La.; brother, Coy Lindsey, Rayville, La.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Lindsey.
Graveside services were Friday, September 21, at 2:30 p.m. from The Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Neal Beard officiating. Military honors were rendered by the Ft. Benning Honor Guard.
