Mrs. Christine W. Adair, 79, of West Columbia, S.C., formerly of Carroll County, died Dec. 6, 2012. She was born Sept. 16, 1933 in Newell, Ala., the daughter of the late Marion Wright and Mary Lee Cox Wright.

Mrs. Adair was a homemaker and a member of the Veal Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollen Eugene Adair; sister, Alice Ruth Wright; and brother, Junior Wright.

Survivors include children and their spouses, Glenda and Larry Hopson of Franklin, Ga., Beverly Adair of West Columbia, S.C., Douglas and Leslie Adair of Leesville, S.C., Render and Debbie Adair of Gaston, S.C., Darrell and Marsha Adair of Columbia, S.C.; sisters, Helen Sims of Roopville and Faye Gunnells of Carrollton; brothers, Gary Wright and Cecil Wright, both of Bowdon, Bill Wright of Ranburne, Ala., and Roy Wright of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton with Rev. Tony Morris and Rev. Scott Hannah officiating. Music will be by Kristi Wright and those serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Timmy Williamson, Grayson Miller, Hayden Miller, Davey Neil, Justin Hopson and Jerimichael Hopson. Burial will follow in Ephesus Church Cemetery in Heard County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4-8 p.m.
