The Carrollton High School wrestling team won the Bearcat Classic that wrapped up on Saturday in Weaver, Ala., scoring 231 points to edge out Welburn’s 202 and Cleburne County’s 171.

Alfredo Rocha (119 pounds), Levi Ward (125) Mason Mitcham (130) and Axel Quintar (heavyweight) each won their weight class at the tournament.

Jim Harris (135), Jason Amaya (140), Keyen Springer (152) and Patrick Darby (215) all finished second in their respective weight classes.

Chris Foster (112), Dan Harris (145), Jared Senfeld (152) and Travis Joyce (160) were third in their weight class.

Christian Tompkins was fourth at 103 for the Trojans, and Duffee Dortch was fourth at 140.

Carrollton visits Central for today’s 5 p.m. match.
