The Bremen High School football dominated visiting Jordan on Friday night, bouncing back from a Region 5-AA setback last week with a 54-14 triumph over the Red Jackets at the Bremen Athletic Field.

The Blue Devils (3-2, 2-1 Region 5-AA) scored on a pair of two-yard Cameron Porter runs to get the rout started, and following a Jordan punt, Ethan Haynes tacked on a field goal to make it an 18-0 Bremen lead.

Cody Eller then recovered a Jordan fumble, setting up a Sean Stassie touchdown pass to Josh Johnson for 37 yards, bringing the score to 25-0.

Following another Haynes field goal, Bremen quarterback Trent McClure connected with Stassie on a seven-yard touchdown strike, making it a 35-0 contest. McClure was able to find the end zone again — this time on a 13-yard run — for the 42-0 halftime score.

Jordan (0-5, 0-3) scored on a 20-yard pass play and got a 90-yard kickoff return in the second half for its offensive production on the night, while the Blue Devils added a seven-yard Andrew McInvale touchdown run and a 30-yard McInvale interception for a touchdown to close out their scoring.

Bremen’s offense totaled 383 yards, with 339 coming on the ground. Several different backs picked up plenty of yards, including junior fullback Voltaire Driver, who was making his first appearance since suffering a dislocated elbow in the opening game of the season. Driver rushed for 64 yards on 11 carries.

Jordan’s Javante West completed 13-of-20 pass attempts for 101 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

Bremen remains home next week when it plays host to Kendrick in Region 5-AA action.
