Ethel Anne Davis Sewell left this world for the next Sept. 16, 2012. She was born in Fulton County on April 18, 1941, daughter of the late Ethel York Davis and Dr. Shelley Carter. Mrs. Sewell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bremen and a former Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mikki Sewell Burns, on May 13, 2011.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, William Gerald “Bill” Sewell of Bremen; sons, William G. “Billy” Sewell Jr., Bremen, John Davis and Kimberly Sewell of Dunwoody; granddaughters, Ashley, Brittany and Caroline Burns of Bremen; and a brother, Dr. Shelley and Frances Davis of Atlanta.

Services were held at her church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, with Brother Herman Parker officiating. Music was furnished by Andy Fowler. Dr. Will Parrish, Robert McPherson, David Williams, Bryan Wood, Pat Wilson and Randall Wood served as pallbearers. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Bremen Building Fund.
