Mrs. Herndon was born in Newnan, Ga., on December 31, 1936, the daughter of the late Eddie James Estep and Ora Douglas May Estep. She was a retired seamstress from Turner Clothing in Bremen, Ga.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lois and Jerry Finerson of Ranburne, Ala.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Rae Herndon of Villa Rica, Ga.; brother, William (Bill) Estep of Temple; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie F. Herndon; brothers, Warner Estep, W.D. (Doug) Estep, James H. Estep, Robert Hoyt Estep and Arthur E. Estep.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 22, at 2 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. Hal Waters officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
